New York City Maritime Lawyers Launch New Website

Attorneys Jim Hohenstein and Sheryl Parkinson have been a team since 1984. They met as Navy Lieutenants and married in 1986. Both served distinguished careers in the Navy as military lawyers and also have civilian practice experience. After Jim retired from his position as National Maritime Practice Group Leader at Holland & Knight, they formed Hohenstein & Parkinson to provide maritime law services to lawyers, law firms, and individuals.

The attorneys provide services relating to key maritime law legal matters and issues, including contracts, arbitration and mediation, and litigation. Their extensive experience in both military and civilian practice in this highly specialized area of law provides significant benefits to every client, regardless of the type of maritime law matter involved. The new website for Hohenstein & Parkinson is an excellent example of a validation site to provide information for clients referred to the law firm. The goal for the design was to emphasize the attorneys’ knowledge and experience and communicate the value that the firm provides to clients. The website presents the substance on a pleasing palette of navy blue and gold, reflecting the military service of the firm partners. Ample use of stunning maritime depictions and photos of the two lawyers together throughout the site communicates both their professional accomplishments and the closeness of the bond they share in practice and in life.
