Kentucky Law Firm Joins Long History with Future Plans in New Website

Not many businesses can say they’ve been operating for over 200 years. But the Owensboro, Kentucky law firm of Gordon, Goetz, Johnson, Caldwell, PSC has served its community since 1806—that’s seven generations. Of course, just as the firm’s current partners weren’t around in the early 19th century, the firm’s practice is different now, too. Originally dedicated to the needs of coal company owners, the firm’s practice has evolved to meet the changing needs of its Western Kentucky clientele. Now a general practice, the firm offers not only energy and mineral law, but business law, family law, and more.

The attorneys are justifiably proud of their firm’s deep roots in the area. But they also wanted the firm’s website to reflect the practice’s very modern skills and capabilities. Although the firm has a strong reputation locally, the partners wanted an updated website to market the firm. The attorneys feel that they have the best firm in town, and they wanted their website to show it.

The website needed to emphasize the firm’s local pride and long history in the Owensboro community while showing that the practice is ready for the future. The website design accomplishes both of these aims. Images of the community are prominently featured on the homepage and throughout the site, firmly grounding the practice in its longtime home of Western Kentucky. Yet the colors and lines of the site are clean, crisp, and distinctly modern: the firm may have been around a while, but the website feels brand new.

Because the general practice firm represents both individuals and businesses, the homepage of the site helps prospective clients quickly find the content that is relevant to their needs, without forcing them to wade through other material. It’s a reflection of the firm’s commitment to being both approachable and straightforward and meeting their clients’ needs from the beginning.
