iPads. iPhones. Android phones. Tablets, Kindles, Microsoft Surfaces. Almost anything with a screen and internet access can easily — and beautifully — access Flint, Michigan attorney Patrick L. Chatterton's new website. Why does it matter? Well, most of us have heard about Google's announcement about giving certain search-result preferences to mobile-friendly websites. But, in the end, some of Google's reasons — not necessarily just its algorithms — might underlay a law firm's independent choice to invest in a website design capable of full display and function on mobile devices.
The reasons? It all comes down to better serving users. Not only do Americans and others increasingly own and use mobile devices for internet searches and commerce. More and more users are looking for legal services using their phones or tablets. And, among these users, there is evidence showing that certain types of legal services are more commonly sought on mobile, personal devices. Two major examples are family law / divorce and criminal defense. Needing an attorney in these very personal areas of law lends itself to use of one's own phone, for example, rather than the family computer. These areas are also thought to be amenable to Google searches because of their confidential and potentially embarrassing nature; people may be reluctant to ask for attorney referrals from friends or business associates.
The Modern Firm was pleased to launch this new responsive solo attorney website today for the Law Office of Patrick L. Chatterton. Mr. Chatterton's practice indeed includes Michigan family law / divorce attorney services as well as Michigan criminal defense, among other areas.
Based in Flint, the Law Office of Patrick L. Chatterton represents clients throughout Michigan.
