Illinois Business Litigation Firm Focuses on Niche with New Law Firm Website

There are a lot of law firms in and around Chicago. A subset of those are business law firms, and a subset of those are business litigation firms. And a very small subset of Chicago business litigation firms focus on partnership and shareholder disputes. Litico Law Group is one of them.

Litico is short for “litigation counsel,” and partners Matthew Wood and Veronica Valladares concentrate their practice primarily in business litigation. While they accept a wide variety of business disputes, they want to develop a reputation for litigating disputes between co-owners of a business. They needed a website that would help them stand out from the hundreds of law firms in the Chicago area, and help the people who need what they do find them.

The Website: “Leveling the Playing Field”

Compared to most business law firms, the attorneys at Litico are younger and more tech savvy. Much of their practice involves working with minority shareholders or other litigants who may not have a lot of leverage in their disputes. Their website needed to reflect that they’re different, and to clearly but subtly convey that they have the skill to help their clients gain the access and information they need.

The team at The Modern Firm suggested the tagline “Leveling the Playing Field,” and Matt and Veronica ran with it. One look at the firm’s home page immediately tells you this isn’t your standard business law firm. Instead of using conservative colors like blue, gray, and burgundy, the website design team went with bolder choices: purple and gold. Instead of attorneys posing in law libraries, the home page features a powerful image of two spheres sitting on a board atop a fulcrum.

The large sphere at one end of the board is counterbalanced by the much smaller sphere bearing the Litico logo at the other end. The clear message: this small firm holds its own, and it helps litigants who need to do the same.
