Maryland Family Law Firm Shows Modern Side with New Website

Every law firm has a brand. Some take a while to identify it; some build their law firm and their website around it. Strickler, Platnick & Hatfield (SPH) in Potomac, Maryland, falls into the latter category. Attorneys Scott Strickler, Geoff Platnick, and Hadrian Hatfield had worked together for years at other law firms. When they decided to establish their own practice dedicated to Maryland and D.C. family law, they knew they wanted to hold themselves out as “the modern family law firm.” In addition to the usual family law practice areas, the firm also offers advocacy for more complex situations such as international family law matters and high asset divorce.

The attorneys wanted their new firm’s website to highlight the many ways in which the firm is modern: its use of technology to serve clients better and more efficiently; its work with families of all different configurations and needs; the attorneys’ knowledge of developments in family law; and their proficiency in a variety of dispute resolution techniques to best serve their clients.

Because SPH is a brand-new firm, we had to build a brand-new website from the ground up. The attorneys wanted a robust site with lots of content, so they collaborated with one of The Modern Firm’s attorney writers. With a background in family law herself, she was able to hit the ground running and write knowledgeably about their practice areas.

It was also important to SPH that the website design reflect the firm’s modern brand. From the vibrant color scheme to the availability of videoconferencing or a client portal at the touch of a button, the site has both a cutting-edge feel and function. And because clients view websites on a variety of devices, the site features responsive design so it will look great on any size screen. Like the firm itself, the website is up-to-date and ready to respond to whatever the future brings.
