The Modern Firm is happy to announce our launch of an updated solo attorney website for Springboro, Ohio, personal injury attorney Michael R. Thomas. Mr. Thomas is a Board-Certified Civil Trial Attorney who has been in practice for almost 30 years. His law practice focuses on personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, insurance law and civil litigation. He also offers mediation services for local courts, other attorneys and insurance companies.

Our working relationship with Mr. Thomas began several years ago and our designers were pleased to update his existing law firm website design with new graphics and mobile-responsive coding. The website features, among other things, a blog and a section on case summaries outlining some of Mr. Thomas's past successful results.

Why Include Case Summaries or Representative Work on Your Law Firm's Website?

We have found over the years that featuring such representative work is particularly helpful in some practice areas. Mike Thomas's area of emphasis — personal injury law — is one such area. Injured individuals or their family members are not always certain what area of the law their cases fall into. Thus, a website offering brief summaries of facts and outcomes of personal injury claims assist prospective clients in two primary ways:

  1. Prospective clients who have already landed on the law firm's website can browse for past cases with similar issues, and thereby can be assured that the attorney knows how to handle the prospective client's concerns.
  2. Prospective clients who use Google or other search engines to learn about what type of attorney handles their claims may search for fact patterns or injuries similar to those an attorney has handled in the past, thus discovering the right attorney for the job.

For our law firm websites, The Modern Firm has developed a simple WordPress post-type that allows attorneys to describe multiple past cases, each with its own url capable of indexing by internet search engines. Of course we advise attorneys to check their state bar Rules of Professional Conduct first; a handful of states do not permit attorneys to advertise these kinds of case summaries.
