More than 25 years ago, Rick Marks co-founded Marks & Chandler Co. L.P.A. in Kent, Ohio, and dedicated it exclusively to family law. Today, the firm is a solo practice that continues to focus solely on handling domestic relations matters for clients in Kent and in Akron.

Rick’s decision to practice only family law was based on his desire to maintain an exceptional level of knowledge of the Ohio statutes and case law applicable to his practice. He also wanted to be able to devote all his time to helping and supporting his family law clients.

After practicing for over 25 years, the client turned to The Modern Firm to create his very first website. The design team eagerly took up the challenge of creating a website that enabled the client to integrate the full breadth of the firm’s services, while effectively communicating to prospective clients all the other important aspects of the client’s deep experience and compassionate approach to practice. The end result is a visually pleasant and easy-to-navigate website that also integrates the client’s favorite color scheme, which happens to be the school colors of The Ohio State University.

The client was especially pleased that the new site is a responsive design, easily accessed and providing a consistent experience to anyone using a mobile device. He also appreciates The Modern Firms’s hosting and day-to-day maintenance of the site, so he can continue to devote his time to his practice without worrying about maintaining the website.
