Sometimes when you see a need, you have to jump in and fill it. That’s what attorney Kristen Johnstone realized when the law firm for which she was working didn’t get on board with her vision of creating a significant family law presence in Southwest Virginia—so she left to establish the firm she could see the community needed.
Based in Roanoke, Johnstone Law, PLC concentrates its practice almost exclusively in family law matters like divorce and child custody. The firm is one of the very few multi-attorney firms in Southwest Virginia that focus on family law. Kristen also wanted to build her own practice so that she and her team could have the freedom and flexibility to give clients as much time and attention as they needed.
Having realized her vision of a dedicated family law firm for the Roanoke area, the next logical step for Kristen was to create an online presence to announce the new firm. The Modern Firm was only too happy to help.
The Website
Southwest Virginia’s Dedicated Family Law Firm
The practice’s tagline says it all: this is a firm that serves Southwest Virginia. But Kristen wanted to drive that point home not only in words, but in the website’s design. The website’s billboard photo features the iconic Roanoke Star and the Blue Ridge Mountains, leaving absolutely no doubt about where the firm is situated. The site’s striking blue, gold, and gray color scheme is echoed in the imagery.
Kristen also relied on The Modern Firm’s law firm website writing services to describe what sets her practice apart in words as well as images. All of The Modern Firm’s writers are attorneys or former attorneys; the writer who created Kristen’s website content was a family law attorney herself.
Now Kristen and her team have not only the law firm they dreamed of, but a way to tell the world (and their prospective clients) what they have to offer.
