There are two types of hyperlinks you can create. WordPress makes this process exceptionally for both types!

1. Creating a link to another website.

First, highlight the text you want to become the hyperlink.

Second, hit the "Insert/Edit" link icon in the editor.

Third, type in or copy and paste the URL. It's recommended you also hit the "open link in a new window" toggle.

Finally, click the add link button.

2. Creating a link to one of your own pages.

You'll often want to create a link to one of your existing pages.

First, highlight the text you want to become the hyperlink.

Second, click on the "Insert/Edit" link button in the editor.

Third, click "Or link to existing content" to view all of your pages. You can either scroll and look for the existing page or you can use the search button to find it.

Finally, click on the page you want to send your visitors to and hit "Add Link."

3. Creating E-Mail Links

To make an email address a live link, just highlight the email address in the editor, then click the link icon in the toolbar (it looks like a couple of chain links).

In the dialogue box that opens, in the url field enter "mailto:" and then the email address. Don't include the quotation marks and don't put a space between the colon and the email address.

Then click the Add Link button. That's it!
